Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu observed many children are involved as domestic workers in the city life but most of them have no opportunity of schooling, flourishing the future and to be self-dependent. With the view to ensure rights of education for the child domestic workers, the founder and philanthropist lady Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu established a school at Dhanmondi area in Dhaka city in 1979 and the first enrolled student was Shanu, a child domestic worker. It was truly a challenging job in the contemporary social context to bring out the child domestic workers outside of their employers’ residences for attending school. Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu took the challenges and did not dropper courage; she came forward with the lamp to enlighten the path of the deprived children. She could establish the school for the working children and it was a great victory. During the last four decades, SUROVI extended its working volume in the diversified field and now this is possible to reach thousands of deprived children, youth and women with our services.

Vision : Being a child rights and child wellbeing organization, SUROVI envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a community where no child will be deprived from her/his rights and dignity and no children will be ruined by poverty.

Mission : The mission of the organization is to promote children's rights and their development, reduce human sufferings through enhancing socio-economical status of the poor, deprived and underprivileged people particularly the women to play their normal role in the society.
