What do we Offer?

Clean Water:

We offer clean water facilities among the poorest families in the remote rural districts in Bangladesh where people are suffering from clean drinking water and use unsafe water from different sources such as pond, river, arsenic contaminated tube wells, saline water from shallow tube wells. SUROVI installs deep tube wells to ensure access of poor villagers to safe dringking water facilities. SUROVI already implemented a number of projects in Bagerhat, Barishal, Chandpur, Dinajpur, Feni, Kurigram, Laxmipur, Moulavibazar, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Nilfamari, Noakhali, Rajshahi, Shariatpur, Sherpur and Sunamgonj district.   

Safe Sanitation:

We construct sanitary latrines to ensure access of poverty stricken rural communities to a safe sanitation facilities and creating a hygienic health environment. The brick built sanitary latrine ensures a long time and sustainable safe sanitation and health environment for the users. The long term impact includes prevent diarrhea, dysentery, skin diseases, typhoid and reduce child mortality.  We are implementing the program in Kurigram, Laxmipur and Sunamgonj district.  

Hygiene Promotion:

SUROVI undertakes a variety of activities to build awareness on hygiene practices among rural communities. These include organizing community workshops, interactive sessions and demonstration programs that focus on proper handwashing, safe water handling, sanitation and personal hygiene. Health education campaigns are conducted using visual aids, posters and local media to reach a wider audience. Community health volunteers are trained to disseminate hygiene messages and encourage behavioral changes. Special sessions are also arranged for women and children, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clean surroundings and preventing waterborne and communicable diseases. These efforts collectively aim to promote a culture of hygiene and improve overall health and well-being in rural areas.
